I have it on very good authority, that the final touches are being put on Checkmate's new official website and that it should go live VERY shortly. ;)

From everything I've heard, it sounds like it's going to be great! Lots of work has gone into the new site and the guys tell me this is just the beginning and there is even more to come. :thumb:

Here's a link to the official site, the new site should go live within the next 24-48 hours, so try not to wear out that refresh button in the mean time. :D

Randy "Wildman" Corson's Paradise Build-Up!

Hi Gang,

One of the more popular Checkmate models over the years, has been the Playmate GT. This 13' mini-offshore boat, was only built for three years from 1986-1988, at which point the moulds were sold off by Checkmate to a third party. After 1988, two other companies used the moulds to build clones of the popular Playmate GT model.

One of the companies that built a Playmate clone was a company called Paradise. Given the rarity of the actual Checkmate Playmate GT hull, the clones have also become popular option with many members as an alternative to the actual Playmate GT.

And now, one of our Supporting Vendors, Randy "Wildman" Corson is doing a build up of a Paradise hull. Randy is documenting the work he is doing with a...

New Pulsare 2100 B/R Interior

Hi Gang,

Kip was kind enough to send over a few new pics of some really nice interior updates the factory has been working on.

Many of you commented that you liked the "old-style" 2100 Pulsare rounded rear bench seat, but that you also liked the integrated speaker and cup holder of the newer design.

Well from what I see, the factory has listened and done it's best incorporate the best from both designs and also, at the same time improve the overall design from an access and functionality perspective.

So going forward, the seat itself will have the rounded type corners and as you will see in the photos. The other items are being moved to a newly designed panel in front of the rear seat, which houses the speaker, cup holder...

Factory Shots of Convincor 2800 OBX

Hey Gang,

Kip Combs was kind enough to send over some pics of a new model in the Checkmate stable. Introducing the Checkmate Convincor 2800 OBX! And this thing is HOT! This has to be the one of the nicest, if not the nicest Checkmate I've ever seen.

The Convincor 2800 OBX hull is based off the Convincor 3000 I/O hull, but instead of I/O power the 2800 is equipped with twin outboards. With the outboard set-up there is also some space savings which adds extra interior room.

The model pictured shows an optional poker-run interior set-up.

I think you'll like this one! :thumb:
