December 2007's Boat of the Month Nominations

It's time for the last one of these for the year!

Here's your chance to have your boat reach legendary Checkmate status! :D

Ok, maybe not. :p

But this is your chance for your boat to be December 2007's Boat of the Month.

Here's how this deal works for our newer members.

Each month we have five pics which battle it out in a poll to find out which boat is the boat of the month. The boat that gets the most votes as chosen by our members wins our boat of the month contest, and the winning boat graces our entrance page for a month.

Once the official poll is completed, the top boat is the boat of the month, and the boat that gets the least amount of votes gets eliminated. That leaves three holdover pics at the end of each month. Those three pics carry over to the next month's contest and get to try to win again.

Here is what to do, if you would like to participate.

If you'd like to enter your own boat, please post your best pic. If you'd like to nominate a fellow members boat, you can do so by posting it in this thread as well.

*Other Rules Worth Noting*

- Please do not post multiple pics of your boat! Just post your best single pic! Posting multiple pics of the same boat just lessens your chances of making it into the official poll as it will most likely just split your vote up! Also, if a member's boat is already nominated, please do not nominate another! This just causes vote splitting!

- Due to the overwhelming response of nomination pics we're receiving- we are now limiting total nomination pics to a total of 10! Meaning, if and when we reach ten nominations within this thread, at that point we will immediately move to the nomination vote portion of the process!


Once we hit the middle of the month, we'll hold an elimination poll to find the top two nominated pics which will then advance to our official Boat of the Month poll.

my 1988 Senator. I bought it in 1992 and have done some mild modifications. This photo was taken on Haddam Island on the Connecticut river.

Senator,

Try uploading your pics to the gallery first.

If they aren't uploading, it might be that your pics are either too big dimensionally or in terms of kbs.

Try the gallery and that way we can link and post to the full size pics. ;)

ThanksThe size has to be 800 pixels wide or less and 1200 pixels or less high.

How are you trying to post the pics?

Are you using the attachment method?

And given that it's on our servers it not likely to get lost.

I don't know how many times members have lost all their Check pics that were stored on some pic hosting site.

We were getting so many nominations each month that we were going to get beyond the option capabilities of the polling thingy. So I decided to limit nominations to ten and have longer periods of time for people to vote.

Here's an old factory Santa pic for you. I think we had this on the entrance page years ago, before we did the boat of the month deal. :)
