I wasn't going to post anything till I heard from you. It was a beautiful day but no videos SORRY ! This was his first time running his Pulsare with the 300x motor. I think I was just as excited to see this thing run. We planned a great video/photo shoot. It was upper 40's low 50's nice chop on the lake/river. We warmed the engines and took off for some passes. I ran a few passes and did not notice him in sight, then get the call over the walkie talkie come pick me up. He claims to heard an alarm and the dreaded death rattle. We retrieve, and pull some plugs to find #6 plugs with the dreaded melted aluminum all over. We proceed to pull the head and find cylinder scored and piston with large hole in top !!!! OUCH !:pissed: Bluehealer has his hands full this winter. SORRY ! Dude ! You'll have to wait till next year to claim the crown. I will wear it proudly all winter !!!;)

Good news............... I had my new 8K tach installed and realized I'm turning about 6500 rpms @82.4 mph. I did get my 27 Trophy Plus Prop this afternoon. I may try to make a run tomorrow to get some baseline numbers on this prop. It then goes off to get lab finished. I'll see if I can throw a video out there.

Great Job on the video!!!
I have spent many hours working with videos
at Home and at a Public Access Station.
Sometimes it takes hours to get a few minutes done.
Your hard work is appreciated!

I will watch this through the Winter to get me motivated for Spring!!

Thanks again!!

Very nice, did you get the whole boat painted? Is that a BridgePort Cowling? LOOKS AWESOME.

jallen355
02-07-2008, 10:52 PM
Wow! Thanks. No, I didn't paint it. It had been painted by the previous owner and then sat in a barn unfinished. Those pics do make it pop. New camera and a beautiful day... No bridgeport, either. Still my 2.0 little (T-Rex'd) 150 fishin' mota and the original cowl. I had documented refinishing the cowling on the forum here somewhere. I polished up the mid and refinished the lower, as well. I'm still not finished. I will be recovering/redesinging the rear bench and combing pads soon, I hope. Then it will be a completed project.

Thanks Rob. Alot of work, as you well know. Funny part is I'll prolly end up wanting to sell it by the end of the summer to start up something else. Always works that way for me, anyhow. Build something up and then get bored and move on. Hope alls been well up your way.

I fixed your photo so most of us Northerners could relate ! This is what a Feb pic should look like.

jallen355
03-12-2008, 01:53 PM
haha! That's funny! On the flip side of that thought, we have to "pick" our downtime during boatable times of the year. You see, we don't have those mandatory rebuilding months here. Yeah, that was taken Feb. 5th of this year. Nice weather, huh? I was waiting on that date. We had been planning on attending a Mardi Gras boat parade on the river. Now, the boat is gutted on the inside while I'm rebuilding stringers, floor, interior, etc. all while is sunny and 70 degrees today...ie: great boating weather.

I can't wait to get my Exciter back together. Got the coosa board stringers glassed in this past weekend and the coosa board floor 5200'ed down this evening. I'm getting there slowly but surely.
