My 300x blew up after

I was doing some searches on Scream and Fly about " 300X problems" it seemed to turn up a number of issues mostly with the newer ones ?! Good luck with the diagnosis and rebuild !

The only warranty is good runner with no known issues!

Have yopur dealer hook it up it'll probably tell you what went wrong.

it makes you wonder when you buy a motor, and crap like that happens on the first ride. did the seller know something??

i should have my promax all the way apart today, i figured it best to spend a little more and i know what i got afterwards.

i hope your repair goes easy with minimal $$$ to get it back together.

Sorry to here that...My 300X is on its 4th season and all I have done was replace the alternator, and I bought mine used.....I am amazed at the dependability of my 300X..You were running 93 octane fuel I hope...The motor is most likely to grenade with anything less than 93 octane...Al

Did it sit a while before you ran it (bad gas) or it could be you had an injector go south or plugged.

I know you were "thinking" of a 300 - but not planning on this! What blew? When did you get the engine? Were did you buy it? What "year"? Anything I can do to help, please call.

I bought it on e-bay about 3 weeks ago and sold my other motor 2 days later on s&f.2003 300x with 148hrs on it from Ft. Meyers Fla.Great guy to work with during the sale, and after this, i called him and he said he would stand behind it to make it right,one way or another.I went out with Paul for one last run on Little lake Butte Des Morts,letting it warm up many minutes,idling,but as soon as i put a load on it, it failed me.My best guess is a restricted injector.Its going in tomorrow for a DDT reading and maybe it'll tell me more.Other than that its going great,hows about you?

Things are good here. Ordered 27P small hub Trophy. Tested one late last summer. Perfect.

Very busy, cottage remodel started this fall. S/B done by Christmass. Can't wait to have you guys up next spring.

My mate is in garage here in C.L. Planning on giving it some TLC over winter. Livorsi digital GPS speedo gauage. Lower seats 3" more. Wax already done.
