I was talking to the mechanic at the marina, and was telling him I couldn't find a serial #, so he was looking over the motor. No #'s to be found anywhere, but he said it looks like the power head was replaced, the motor is pre-VRO (early 80s), and the exhaust and rear part of the motor indicate it's probably a 135, not a 110. I suspected it was running faster than what it would with a 110, and the previous owner had claimed a friend paced him at around 54. I really need to test her with GPS next season.

You need to drop a V-6 on that boat! Hunt down a mid to late 80's Mercury 150 Xr2. It's a small, light, 2 liter V6 that will make that boat Scream into the 60's without spending alot of $$$!!

a 135 would have been from the 70's

in 1980 it was 120 or 140

Actually, the later 120 and 140's were bigger and more boxy.

The earlier crank shaft rated 140 was the same thing as your 110 and then the the added the bubble back to make the 115.
