Anyone have an old hydrostream that needs some lovin, drop me a line. Preferably within the area. The worse the condition the better. Looking for a Viper or V king, but open to any other small light hullhttp://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif

Don't forget about the Vector and that it takes big bucks to redo a Stream.

If you find one be sure the core is solid. It looks like one big nasty job if the core is bad]
You can find them for sale on hot boat , scream and fly and on e-bay. Good luck! Cool Boats!

Most old Streams and for sure a project boat will have a rotten core. They used only roving over the core and the water makes its way through rotting it out. Not for the faint of heart!

I just ebayed my vector with new gelcoat ready to core for $350 with a trailer!
Where are you guys when I needed to move it for space. Would rather it gone to someone who could appreciate it!

Thanks for the input guys. I know hydro's are cheaply built potato chips for the most part, But there is always that "one" lucky deal out there... Im not willing to tackle a rotten core, but the rest I can do. :thumb:
Wicked, is that boat for sale?? Is that a vector or Vking?

There is a viper near by me that Ive been eyeing for a while. Maybe I can get another $300 deal.:D Ive gotta hustle Im on a budget.

Boston,
Don't think it's for sale. I talked to the dude this past summer at the "Beast of The East" gathering on Lake Anna VA. He had just picked it up for a song and was planning to restore it. Think it was a Vector with a 150 black max but not sure. I will keep an eye out for one :thumb:

If you find an older stream that hasn't had the core redone there will be a 99.99999999999% chance that it needs it i know that's not what ya want to hear but that's nature of the beast for old streams.

I had an easy chance to pick up a Viper for cheap a few mounths ago but after doing some good recon I found that the old Glastrons were made better. If that dose not tell you anything I dont know what will.

I dont know.... I'm not trying to argue with ya because your right, but Ive seen many decent project streams that dont have a rotten core. Ive done some thorough searching localy...

Be very careful trusting an old unrestored stream i'm not saying they'r not out there but they are far and few between.

I love the lines on my CVX20 and there were a bunch of cool glastrons built but the HydroStreams are the hands down the "coolest" boats out there.

No boats left for sale, that one was one that was very nice for a cheap project
The guy finished the core last night.
I have a TRV 16, an mx15, nordic jetboat to finish over December. I am hoping to start on the Viper in January and in between snowmobiling I can finish it before the end of January. other stuff will come up between. Hopin to snag a Sidewinder sometime. I shoulda kept the one I got early this summer

Kary if you get another Winder get a Super way cooler than the Lo-Pro.

This is a different TRV That guy never called me back or even got in touch with me-I hope I see him again so he will know what a jerkoff I think he is. Like sellin me the grab handle was gonna lower the value of that sh*tbox he sold for a few hundred bux. I offered him $200 for the grab handle......well, got that off my chest. I feel better now.....LOL

Good look but that is too far. I may end up getting that viper that I've been eyeing down the street. I know for sure that one is solid. Just needs some cosmetics and an engine/interior. The fun stuff :)
