Just bought a 96 Pulse 185 last weekend. I took it to the lake and it started right up. Soon afterwards all the gages went dead....no horn but did have speedo. Could the battery be so dead that the motor would run but no charging take place for the gages? Im taking the family out tomorrow so Id love to hear what you guys have to say. Im obviously going to get a new battery (800 Cold cranking amps) tomorrow. THanks

It doesn't sound like a battery problem. It sounds like a connection in the harness for the guages might be lose or has become disconnected somewhere. Follow the wiring back, it will probably connect to the controls and then from there back to the motor. That is where I would look first. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Check all the grounds. This will raise all kinds of trouble.
