Are you still interested in trying to get some other checkmate owners together in Mn? My boat is back on the water again, and the guy who put it together says "that boat rocks!" and comming from a guy who builds race boats and motors for people all over the country that makes me feel pretty good. He installed the motor, changed my prop, adjusted the jackplate and tweaked it here and there and says 70+ no problem! I'm very interested in a get together. However there doesn't seem like too much interest of others. I thing part of the problem is this late in the summer everyone has made plans. I suppose we could just pick a date and who ever wants to come can and we'll see where it goes from there. There is a guy on the lake that I go to most of the time that owns a Checkmate Starflight with a 225 opti on it. I talked to him about the boat before and to him it's just a boat that he got a good deal on and it would't matter to him if it was a Bayliner. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Also I checked with Sunset Beach resort and they have some campsites open for August. The only weekend that doesn't work for me is the last weekend in August.

Jim: Pretty much any weekend in august works for me, the 2nd weekend would be really good since it sounds like I will have a bunch of people down with jet skiis and other boats (no checkmates http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif)will be around its always a real good time.
