hey every one i was just wondering what other sadisfied checkmate owners own. I myself own a 1970 16' tahiti that has a 115 johnson that does about 55 it used to have a old 135 that went like a bat outa hell but i blew it up with that motor it went 63.... the tahiti is the lake boat, checkmate is for the bay and where i have the most fun

I used to have a 1984 Glastron Carlson CVX-16 with a 115hp merc on the back. That was a fun boat and that merc was always reliable.

12 terry aluminum rowboat with either a 1946 5hp johnson, a 1955 7.5 evinrude, or a 1960 merc 15. The merc is too much motor for a rowboat, and is for sale. when you start outrunning pontoons with 50hp on them in a rowboat you are going to fast. and every time I so much a twitched the boat started swaying

I've bought a 175 merc (225 powerhead) for spare parts and it came with a Bright Blue Glastron Carlson cvx16. Much prettier than my mate but stern was crumbling from water damage. I ended up flipping the whole package to an energetic neighbor at the lake who did an amazing rebuild of the stern with no experience.It cost him 900canadian to have the stern prof.gelcoated plus his own labor on rebuilding and installing the plug hole, sanding etc.My Site is more interactive now.
