Sportfire...

Hello everyone... My buddy who used to have the Pulsare told me of his older boat. It was called the Sportfire, which I havn't heard of. His was 16'9 and had a 150 on it and did 70 MPH. Does anybody have any more info about this boat. A friend of mine has an 87 Sportfire with a 115 Mariner. Does about 56 mph with a 23 aluminum prop.Great boat for water sking and it handles choppy conditions well for its size. I got all the files today... I sent Chris over the Sportfire video so he should have it up soon. Just to warn you its 3 minutes long and may take some people a very long time to load... The other pictures I got of it were just frames of the video...

I used to own a 1988 Sportfire up until last year. I have two pictures that I could show on the forum if I can figure out how to post them. Unfortunately the pitures are not on the water. Nevertheless it was all black with green metalflake and had white accent stripes. Rated for 140HP, equiped with a 150HP XR4 and Laser II 24P propeler. It was fantastic for skiing (better water starts than my Pulsare) and could go close to 65 MPH. However the chine walk was insane at that speed!

You almost sound identical to my buddy. Had a Sportfire, sold that, got the Pulsare. Are you sure you don't have a 95.3 MPH Hydrostream Venus
