This combo would probably only run high 40's. But it looks to me he put this together as a 'good fuel economy with lots of room' package. If I was shopping for a new fuel economy ski/tube boat that also looks GREAT on the water, this is the one.

i saw 52 mph in a small area with me and my girlfreind in the boat for the photos for the catalog shoot with this boat. yea i got to have fun with a lot of the boats in the checkmate catalog. if you look at the 18 in the 2008 brochure that is this boat it will do a little better ,it still has to break in. it is a nice package handles chop well but it isnt the 20 with a 150 that but ran 66 mph with me and one other in a small area but the price jumps up to .

you hit the nail on the head as far as what i was trying to do, i was just trying to get the family with a budget in the water, you know he wants the checkmate look she wants well who knows what she wants. this would meet in the middle economical and able to pull skiers.
