Just wanted to let everyone know......that we are expanding the amount of restorations we do here at the factory. Everything from..complete interiors,re-gel,sanding/buffing,instrumention.....new carpet.Even complete strip downs. I know alot of you guys like doing this stuff yourself but some would rather have someone else do it and who better to do it than the same people that made it in the first place....right! If anyone is intested ...contact me at checkmate@cybrtown.com or 419-562-3881 Kip Combs. If we get a bunch of inquiries about these they will be done on a first come first serve basis.....winter is obviously the best time to get it done!

That's great! Are you going to tackle big projects like transom replacements too?

My buddy and I took his 251 Convincor down there last year. They replaced the carpet and upholstry. Looks awesome and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Besides it is a good reason to go check out the factory. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I just picked up a 1993 Checkmate Convincor 253.
It could use some cockpit interior work. Bench seat and back and rear back corners of engine hatch need some replacement. Need new snap in floor carpet. Bolster seats in good shape. Mike said you were just about out of that years white vinyl? I live in Sheboygan, WI How busy are you and what cost range am I looking at? I could send pics of problems areas.... Thanks...Alex Ph: 920-457-6117

xskid,
I'm with MrWick. How about some pics and setup tips. I too have an '85 Predictor w/115 Merc.
Got 46 mph (GPS) with a 19P aluminum. Found a crack on one of the blades.
Will be putting on a Michigan Wheel Turbo
13 1/4 X 22 stainless this Summer.
Thanks!

i dont have a way to give you guys pics yet, but the best setup i found is 4in. back and around 4 1/2in. up, as for prop, i run one of the finest props ever made by anyone,...the merc small chopper.

Kip...are you guys doing any gel-coat re-do's??? I have a buddy with a 20 Enchanter that the clear is shot (it's over blue metalflake). Do you guys get involved in anything like this???
It would be a fall/winter project and the boat would be fully stripped of everything first. Jim.
