Stock Yammi's are awesome motors... AS far as a rebuild, it is only as good as the person who did the work! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

I had a chance to drive my buddies Starflight/225 Merc yesterday. They run through the water very nicely! Very hard to tell much difference between the starflight bottom and the newer Pulsare bottom
1995 Pulsare 2100BR/1995 Mercury Promax 225 2.5 EFI/ 1.87:1 Torquemaster/ RapidJack Heavy-Duty manual 10.5" setback/ 23" Tempest worked for ski duty

???I had an 87 Starflight and it had a stepped bottom and no pad. My 2000 Pulsare has no steps and a pad.
