Anyone running these..I have a 97 253 and am looking at adding them and have a couple installation questions for someone that might be running them..Surely someone is running them on a 253...

Yes I have lighting headers on my 98 253 I like them alot.

some questions that may need to be addressed..
what engine , horse power, if its not stock what cam profile, and i believe i saw a question by you about dry exhaust... are you experiencing reversion??? or old manifolds that need to be changed..
and the final question.. what are your goals??? are you looking for hp gains??

Im looking at Lightning Headers (LMH-100)is the part # on there web sight....for my 97 and was wont to know if the were a direct bolt on or do i have to do any modifying...I know i have to change the oil filter mount.. but anything else..This is going on a 454-330..thats been pumped up a little..Its right around 450 hp...Can i send you a picture of my engine and transon and could you tell me if the LMH-100 pipesa are the ones i need..Motor has stock cast iron merc manifolds on it now with a 3" spacer...send me am email and i will send pics if its ok with you.....swkdoyle@insightbb.com

Motor is a 454-330 base thats been pumped up a little..forged pistons...changed the heads ..intake..carb..ignition..distributor...its right around 450 hp...stock cam..No am not having reversion problems now but am going to do a cam swap this winter and install exhaust...Has stock merc cast iron manifolds on it now with 3" spacer...Am looking for a little more hp and basically just get rid of the stock exhaust..If you email me direct i will send a pic of my engine and transom if it will help out....swkdoyle@insightbb.com..Thanks

you will also have to relocate your cables if they are on your stock manifold. I mounted mine on my transom. also call and talk to lighting mfg. tell them what you have before you order. there # is (951) 678-5631. you should notice substantial gain with what you have already done with your engine.
