Would anyone be so kind enough to provide me with a electronic copy of a Mercury service manual that is valid for a 1996 year, 175HP Merc motor? I'm going to inspect a Pulse this weekend and would like to have a copy of the factory manual to verify specs, etc. Plus, I will need if I purchase the Pulse.
If so, email me @ devin@customfab4x4.com
I can provide a FTP site if the file is too large.

An electronic copy of a service manual would be a HUGE file; like sending a phone book. I've been looking for years and never found one. Owners manual is smaller and would give general specs. They can be purchased from mercury on line and might be able to get it overnited.
You can also purchase a Seloc manual from a number of sources and probably get it much quicker. They run about $30-$40. Merc factory manuals are pricey $70-$90. try http://marineengine.com or http://amazon.com. You also might try your closest merc dealer and see if they can copy the specs you need; Clark marine has always been good about it for me. I don't have any electronic files and just have manuals for my mercs. Someone here might. Good luck.

Thanks. I ordered a Merc OEM repair manual off Ebay but it won't arrive until next week. If anyone happens to have the electronic sections specific to a 96' with 175 HP that would be fantastic.

I found mine (pdf version) on ebay for $10.00 including shipping. Mine covers 1992 -2000 models. I can send you a copy if you need it.

mercury started posting electronic versions of most of their service manuals on mercnet years ago. they are large, i have been able to send a couple to members via email. however i did have to burn and mail one to a member. if you make nicey with a local merc dealer, they may be able to burn it for you, might be a good idea to buy some parts from them though.

thanks guys, everytime I have tried to get on the merc site I've had trouble. Thats very good to know about the e versions. I'll need to find the manuals for mid 80's model v6. I'll try it again maybe here at work.
