Well I'm pretty close on deciding the color of my Enforcer; ran my idea by zstevens and he sent this photo of a Donzi.

I decided to paint my Enforcer white and put Shelby GT type graphics on it. The photo gives you an idea on the direction I'm headed. Thought it might be interesting to see what types of colors and graphics you guys are turned to. Thought it would be fun to see "horses of different colors"
Post pics(dosen't need to be checks but prefereable:D) of what you like, have, or dream of; and be sure to vote in the poll.:thumb:

ah what poll??
i like the color sceem....... i always thought that the "racing stripes" should be a lil' farther apart-just my opinion. all white with red stripes would look very sweet:thumb:

poll is up now, took me a few minutes to post it. My wife wants red stripes I'm turned more towards blue; I agree that the stripes are too narrow I'll be making mine a little wider.

Partial to two tone blue on blue with metal flake in the stripes.
However love the simple classic graphics on the Donzi pictured above...but it would look better in a deep midnight blue.

If it is going to get painted, I would do white with some sort of stripes or graphics. That way when the paint gets scratched, and it will, it will be less noticable. That is if my memory serves me correctly, and the boat is already white.

Hey Hickory, Check out the pic of my Enforcer. It is white with burgandy on the bottom and Burgandy deck graphic's, and bright red in the rub rail area. boatman

I'm assuming this is it; really nice Enforcer. Do you still have it?

I like the Donzi scheme. I also like some of the classic Cigarette themes.

LOL; I'm actually doing the poll just to see what everybody else likes or wants for their boat I've already put my preference in white w/ traditional stripes. It's interesting so far; white hull; red and white two tone; and traditional pins and stripes are winning out.

Thats my plan; mono white w/ ford blue stripes(tiny metal flake) w/ a couple of clears to top off. I'm also having some checkmate logo's custom made: silver knight on top of a red, white & blue ribbon. Should mimmick the shelby mustang logo; but, will be all checkmate:thumb:

That sounds like it's going to look quite nice. I knew you had it under control. Can't wait to see it.

Zach,
thanks again for the article and pic; It helped me confirm that my stripes on the deck needed to be much larger. I'm hoping I can get the paint on next month.

I like a solid color with graphics on top. I do not prefer a solid color on top with a white bottom. If your going to make the boat blue or red make the bottom match the rest of the boat like they used to. To me now they look like they where painted on a trailer. And for the engine compartment let it match the rest of the boat like it used to. Now they look cheap like you went to autozone and bought some spackle paint for a kids clown party.

Thanks to everyone who has participated in the poll; results shouldn't be too surprising. I still would like to see some example pics. Thanks

Hickory, If tou are going to leave the windshield, bow rails, raised cleats and bow light on the boat a traditional paint and stripes theme may work best...If you remove all that stuff and smooth it out to look like I did a more modern graphics scheme may be your best bet..Nice to see someone else restoring a early O/B Enforcer...Good Luck..Al http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c363/8711260/clarkestuff041.jpg

I've looked at their graphics a number of times; and they have some that are appealing; in fact this past winter had my boys go thru them and they were all over the flames LOL. I think I'd tire of it pretty quick. You planning on using Raceline for yours?

No graphics for my Exciter. Just wouldn't look right to me. I found this site a couple of years ago while looking for graphics for RC boats.
I like some of the "adrenaline series" I think it was with the checkered flags. I also like the stars and bars series..whatever they call it.
