Guy's
I was changing out a fuel line and noticed a hose cut off on a 90 degree fitting. Does anyone know what/where this would go or attach to?
This on my '99 Merc EFI 200 HP.

its not capped off is it? Does it look like a hose was cut off or just a rubber boot cap?

I'm pretty sure it's a cut hose. I'll verify that tomorrow after work.

same block as a carbed 200....... carbed engines have bleed line to reciculate fuel.... Efi's have them capped off on 2.5 efi production engines.... it's normal..kurt

Could it be for your h2o psi or temp?
not sure on that efi but on my carbed 200 merc the water psi is on the top of the block between the two heads....there was a plug i had to remove(3/4inch) and get an adapter to fit the hose(3/8)the hose is a(1/4")!

Its a fitting for a carb model. There is another one right behind the elect module. On the carb model there is a hose connected to them. The hose runs from the fitting for the intake manifold right behind the reeds. It provides a vac/pressure signal. No need for this on the EFI model.

I thought it was a vacuum line as well, but since this is my first EFI I wasn't sure. My Water pressure hose is on the other side on the same line as the poppet valve close to the block. I'll get pictures for later today.
