I HAVE A 69 V131 AND HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THE WEIGHT OF A 60'S ERA 75 OR 80 HP MOTOR I ONLY NEED TO KNOW BECAUSE THE MOTOR I HAVE IS 85 V4 JOHNSON 100HP AND JUST WONDERED IF THE BOAT WOULD STILL FLOAT WITH THE 100:popcorn:

I don't have any old OMC info but I believe the 85 V4 is lighter than a 60s V4. One of my best friends had aa Glaspar G3 with an old Johnson V4 and he put a late 80s V4 on it and it floated higher. I think it was an 85 hp.

If it's slow it must be an OMC.

I would guess that an older v4 weighs around 285 pounds. My 1995 v4 88hp on my pontoon boat weights 288 pounds, according to the info that came with it.
