HELP!!!! I have a 2005 Mercury Opti 225. I had no problems this year or ever. My oil was half full so I top it off and take it out the next day. Now I'm getting a "4 alarm audible" when I'm idling, going 20 MPH or even 50 MPH. It wil happen every 90 seconds or so. My water pressure is fine. Does anyone know what these 4 beeps or alarms mean? HEEELLPPP.......I'm going on Vacation today with my family for the first time to a lake and have the boat on the trailer. I'm afraid I'll have o tell my kids we can't use the boat. I couldn't sleep last night!!! AHHHH

I believe that would be your low oil alarm from the power-head tank. Your over heat alarm would be steady.

Thanks, I get it back today. It was Water in the Gas....FYI,,The mechanic said 4 alarms on a 225 is either low battery,,,,,Low oil or Water in the Gas....
Thanks for responding!!

when you filled your oil tank. you opened up a presurized system.. it take a little bit to re presurize. so the motor starts using the oil on the motor oil tank& dropping itlow enoughto turn on the oil alarm. open the cap on your motor oil tank, run the engine @ idle til it fills 100% put the cap on.. that purges the air from the system. if the alarm still continues. go to your screw on fuel filter & disconect the wire on the bottom of the filter.( water sencer)if it still continues.. you need to visit your dealer & find out exatly what the alarm is... make sure your batt post have lock nut not wing nuts, you engine is very battery dependant..
