Hello,

My name is Trevor and I just bought my first Checkmate today! It is a 1999 259 Convincor. This boat is in AMAZING condition. I would say its a 9.5 out of 10 on both interior and exterior. The hour meter only shows 149 hours, not sure if this is acurate, but the meter does work. Now for the motor....here is where I need some help from some of you more experianced members. I was told it was a 454, but I am not sure. It has a ton of performance mods on it. For starters it has a Mooneyham supercharger on top with twin Holly carbs. It has headers (not sure what kind), MSD ignition components through out the engine compartment, electric Holley fuel pump, Max Marine steering, and the list goes on. There is alot of stuff in the motor compartment that I am not sure what it is. I have included one pic of the motor and I will take somemore as well. The boat has not been registered since 10/2005 so I assume it has been setting, however the boat ran very well on the test drive that I took it out on. I am going to be taking it to my boat mechanic to have all the fluids replaced and everything checked out as soon as possible. Is there any info, advice, recommendations, pointers that anyone may have for me? Any and all would be greatly appreciated. THis is not my first boat, just my first boat of this caliber.

Thanks,
Trevor

Nice boat an hot babe in the photo. Good luck with your hp engine. Thats alot of add on's for a newbe that does not know alot about engines. Always keep a eye on the gauges oil, and temp. Very low hours on a boat that age it seems untruthful to me but I could be wrong. I am hammered right now but it seems to me I have seen this boat for sale the TX on the hull rings a bell. Maybe when I sobber up I will find it. Edit your profile an list where you are from.

Good luck talk later BR :cheers

Thanks for the reply. Yes the boat had been for sale in the Dallas area. I think it was originally from Austin, TX. The name on the back of the boat is "More Aggrevation V". I didnt say that i dont know much about motors, there is just alot of stuff on this boat that I am not familiar with. I have never owend anything that was supercharged. Ive ran some turbos and some nitros on my vehicles, but thats about all. As for the hours I am not sure about it either, but the boat does not show any of the "normal" wear signs that an older boat should have.
