My Pulsare 1850 currently has a stock AM/FM Cassette (small tape player) with two 5.5" round speakers under the rear seat. I would like to replace with an MP3 CD Player, replace the 5.5" round with 6x9's and possibly install another set of speakers under the pass/drv dash. I would think this or other setups have been done, let's here what works and what doesn't. Would an amp draw too much power for a single battery setup? Is this all useless, should I be content listening to the soothing sounds of a Mercury at 4000 rpm's?

Sorry, just searched and found tons of info on head units and speakers.
My only question now is where to mount the front speakers? JW, you mounted all your speakers in boxes, where do you put the boxes and how do you secure them when moving?
I am thinking about mounting some surface mount speakers upside down under the dash on each side. My only fear would be gravity coupled with up and down motion forcing them loose. Maybe up high on the gunwale sides would be a better choice.
