saturday i took the predictor down the river in the morning, pulled out at about 4 o'clock went home, grabbed the gayliner with the force 90 :irked: :brickwall:,and the ole lady, and back to the river for the fireworks, with all the stuff floatin' in the river im glad i did, after the show i heard stuff hittin the bottom all the way back to saginaw, lookin at the boat yesterday i found the speedo, depth finder both took some good hits, not to mention the paint on the prop is all chipped and scratched...

so im glad i left the checkie at home, although the ride to bay city takes a Looooooonnngg time when your goin 35 mph...gettin passes by EVERYBODY!!! :poke:

I know how you feel. We were going to take the Predictor to down town tampa to watch the fireworks but then my parents called and invited us to go with them on there pontoon boat. My wife jumped all over that so it took us an hour to get there instead of 10 minutes.

Whats a dead head ? I seen a boat in the paper for sale one time with a hole in it from hitting one of these.

dead heads are the fallen trees that get picked up when the river rises. the ends of them get pushed onto the river bed and the top sits just below the waters surface.

if you are luckey you will see it bobbing up and down a bit and go around it. when its dark you are screwed.

that sucks!!!!

i was kinda thinkin i might see you high tailing it back before the fireworks started but you obiviosly did make it...:poke:

about halfway between the z-bridge and the lee st launch was tons of stuff.. i was standin up with the spot light, when some dummy drivin a 30 foot-ish baja at about 50 mph. i watched him go right through a pile of logs!!!

i dont think i even planed the boat out once, got to the boat launch waited for about 6 pontoons to load up, back the truck in, sun dried rope on winch breaks, re- tie, then breaks again:brickwall: drop the hook in the water, finally get it out, crooked as $hi^, then as we're pullin out my half asleep ole lady says "why are you so crabby??":shakehead:

next year im hitchin' a pontoon ride with a keg of beer!!!:cheers

You guys see where they pulled the body of a woman out of the river Sunday. They arent releasing any info, but they suspect foul play.
