SUCKERED BY A "BAJA" ???

All the trash I talk about a Baja and look what I ended up buying today. I stopped by a local boat repair shop for a fuel filter and was B.S. ing about boats. I told the guy my wife really likes cruisers and he said he has a good deal on a 27' sea-ray. As soon as we went outback I seen the Baja and said something to the guy and 5 minutes later I bought it.

Its a 1981 Baja Jetboat Solid hull floor and transom, Berkley Jet no engine factory small block boat. The gel looks like it just needs buffing even the rubber bump rail is still soft.

I will be selling this boat I am getting all the parts together and a proper boat paper done so if anyone is intrested let me know.

wow if that is what happens when you go to get a filter then what about a prop?

I saw one of those a few years ago at a marine repair place. Had a turbocharged olds motor in it. I thought that was pretty cool. Same brown metalflake as yours. I think it had a Berkeley JE pump. It was rougher than the one pictured and the engine was missing pieces. I already had a jet at the time or I would probably have dragged it home.

I am going down with my truck friday and dragging it home. The hull actually looks to be in better shape than my old jetmate just needs cleaning no paint work. More pics friday

I had one came with a Big Block Chevy from the Factory . I put in a built L-88 around 500 hp it would stand straight up when you nailed it .
