Just talked to one of the editors of Family and Performance Boating. The new 16' Pulsare will be on the cover of a near future issue http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
He said the article was inspired by Checkmate designing/building a 16' boat in this current boat market ( IE big offshore rigs).
Wonder if my article on Scream and Fly inspired them??
If you haven't seen my tour of the factory last spring, you can check it out here:

Yea...me and Warrem K from the magazine worked out a deal ....they own the boat and are going to do a bunch of artciles on it ...installing the motor, putting paint job on it( it's all white now), installing gauges, possibily a jack plate, we will get a bunch of free pub out of it! Warren does a great job with the magazine! Should be pretty cool :bounce:

I kinda figured it was something like that, he said it is the newest 'project boat' at the mag. I've talked to him since he started the new mag, and I've subscribed since the start. Good mag, better than Hot Boat and Powerboat that's for sure (for me anyway, I don't care for $60k + boats) They cover them, but have more 'lower cost' boats for people like me that like small lake boats.
I'll probably send him the full resolution digital pix I have of Gary sanding out the plug for one of the articles. Shannon sent me a few of the first 'finished' boat pix, but they are very low resolution and probably unusable. I loved the gell design on the first one by the way! Who's idea was that?

Go to their web site, you can subscribe on line, but do not be dissapointed when you get your first issue, they have their share of 250,000.00 dollar and up boats too... It is an awesome magazine.

What's the latest on this project boat? Did they ever get it painted?
