I have a SkimateII that I have loved since new. There is no motor. I am using the 225 Evenrude on another boat. The Skimate needs new steering and wiring and alot of TLC. There is a cover that works but it is not pretty. I have too many boats!

The Skimate II has been stored in my basement for the last five years. Prior to that it was used and then parked in my back yard. The boat has never been left in the water over nite. The trailer has a solid bunk down the center the whole length of the bottom so there are no indents from trailer rollers. None of the seats or apolstry have and tears in them. The boat has a wind deflector rather then a windshield.
quote:
Originally posted by 175checkmate:

Thanks I have a question that has perplexed me How did you get the boat in your basement?

Pictures would be nice. I have a 78 V-mate II and I don't know if the boat is getting smaller or I am getting bigger. I need another project like I need another hole in my head.

I designed my house. I like to mess around and work in a warm and dry area. I have a 12' X 12' garage door on the lake side of the basement. This room is 16' wide and 63' long with a 16' ceiling. My house is built on a slope that goes down to the lake. The front looks like a ranch, the back is three floors high.

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!
