Question for you. Does your buddy's Pulsare have a phrase or saying on the left hand side of his boat (decal)? If so, what does it say?

I know but I don't know too much on this boat and I want to learn as much as I can.

As for Chris' Pulsare, it used to say Chris Thomas Motors on it. He was basically advertising his place. It still looked cool. Where did you see the decals? My website with the pics or did you just remember it?

Actually Z, as well as boating past his boat on the Rideau River, I remembered seeing it for sale in the Boat Trader.

I keep an archive file for Checkmate's that I am interested in and keep the listing for future price comparison. His was for sale in the June 1-7, 2001 issue and was asking $35,000 CDN. Optimax 225, ezloader (with rolers...sorry JW) and $6000 of modifications/options.

Just in passing, the listing mentions a new purchase price of $51,000CDN. No offense Z, but you must not know this guy that well if you thought you could buy a new Pulsare for $40,000CDN!

Anyway check out Boat Trader Online. I did a broad search yesterday and discovered nearly 140 Checkmates for sale in the US. It is too bad some of them are so far away! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I know someone who has a friend with a Starflite. When I talk to him next time I will ask if his friends boat is for sale. The boat is from our area and it is black with silver metalflake. Maybe you will be joining the proud Checkmate owners club soon! Ya never know!

Do you actually still have the add? Would you be able to send it to me? I'd love to see it and show it to him. I am not sure, but when he said 51 000, I am lost. He just bought the 99 ProMax 225 for close to 20K and I am not sure if thats what he meant. He would have also sold it to me for less than that. Maybe 28-30? I just delayed it too much and by then someone already offered him 35-36 for the boat and the hoist system. Anyways, XSV, try to send me the add, or at least everything he said in it. Thanks

I am not sure where 51 came from? Maybe it was this much because it did have alot of options and add ons. Maybe he was adding up the hull and motor alone not sure? It was an amazing boat. Do you have a scanner though as I'd like to see it. As for the Starflite, why wouldn't you just contact him anyways? I'm not positive I'd buy it but I am fairly interested...
