Just tested out my boat. Runs fine with one note. Shudders on the hole shot for about one second then goes strong and planes off within 3-4 seconds. Is that normal?
Also, what can I do to boost power on an EFI mercury 150. Thanks. JC

CHANGE THE EXHAUST TUNER TO A 200 HP TUNER AND MILL THE HEADS DOWN A LITTLE. PUT ON 200 HP CARBS AND SWITCH TO MERCURY/BOYESEN DUAL STAGE FIBERGLASS REEDS. BE WORTH ABOUT 15 HP

I don’t know too much about it. I saw it on boattrader.com right after the add appeared and called Dr. Durant. It sounded like a nice boat and the price seemed right. Since I live in Wisconsin and the boat was in South Carolina I wanted to have a marina check it out before making the trip. Dr. Durant said he had the boat at a marina on consignment and gave me the number. I called them first thing the next morning and got the lowdown on the boat. I decided I wanted it and tried to get a hold of Dr. Durant for the next several hours but he was always busy. He finally called me back and said he just took a deposit on the boat a half hour earlier, which I presume was from you. Is the boat in as nice of shape as it was advertised? Also, how did you bend your prop shaft?

Well, the boat was a nice boat. I was dissapointed in some fading in the stripes within the gel coat, but the interior was excellent and the motor is solid. I was easily able to remove the fading and brighten the finish. I simply got into a lake I wasnt familiar with and because the boat had no depth finder I got into trouble on pebble bottom. My fault for not installing a depth gauge. But it is a great family boat. I have young kids so it works for us. Personally, I love that 21 ft Pulsare at the entrance to this site. Now THAT is a boat.....reminds me of my earlier Checkmates. Good luck on finding what you want. JDC
