Hey Ted,
I only took a look at the prop to see if I whacked anything - there is no damage anywhere so I'm still thinking it's the water pump. I had been looking for a manual for a 1972 Johnson 200hp and came to find out they didnt make a 200 in 72" http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif could have fooled me -thats what it said on the reg. so now I can get one that covers 73- on.

Well you just gained a whole year or more! There is a guy over on pilgram ave who only works on evinrudes and johnsons. I think it is capwell marine he may be able to help you out if needed. Capwell marine is the name of the place its set back behind a house on the rt117 end of the road. I havent been by there in a while and he was an older guy but I'm pretty sure he's still there. At the least I think he would have a manual to look at.
