Kip sent me over some pics of a new 218 ZT/BR they just built. It's a wakeboard edition which is equipped with a Monster wakeboard tower. :thumb:

OH YEAH! That'll make some Malibu's and Mastercraft's jealous! That boat will put up a huge wake, AND run 20 mph faster than the ski boats!!

I agree with JW on this one....boats like moomba, mobius, mastercraft etc. have some serious competition right about now!! This Mate will def. throw up a better wake and when not using it for wakeboarding, it will be a much better performer and more fun to drive boat than the others aforementioned...nice concept...

There's that black flamed Pulsare in the background - when are you gonna give us some more pics of that one Kip? I'd love to see the interior.

If you look closely at the pics.......It looks like the factory has quite a few restoration jobs on the go, judging by the amount of older boats they have kicking around.

I love seeing those restoration jobs. http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

I that Wakemate should make a wake as good as those "other" boats that need ballast. With the weight a big block and Bravo drive in the back it may be better than some of the so called "professional" wakeboard boats. I have a friend with a Mastercraft that would rather slalom behind my boat than his. His wake intersects with a bad hard hump right at 28 off. An I/O can modify the wake with the trim where inboards need "add on" gadgets (water bags or ballast tanks) to change the wake. I just touch the trim to flatten out the wake once the skier is set. For wake boarding I put the trim up a little on take off for a major wake. The downside to an I/O is if the wakeboarder wants to go faster than the boat planes.

What a delema.. Do I want a 90% perfect wakeboard boat that tops out at 80MPH or a boat thats 100% puropose built that tops at 50MPH?
Another quandry.. What happens when I run that inboard aground? With an I/O can't I run up the trim and get out?...
