I need a stator mounting bracket for a 1985 115hp Mercury motor,anyone know where I can find one.Can't give you a Merc part number as that part is not shown on the online parts catalog.It shows all the parts in the area,flywheel,stator,trigger plate but not the mounting bracket for the stator.Thanks for any help you can give me....

Sorry, my big manual only goes back to 1992. I looked anyway, and it doesn't show the bracket number in there either! You aren't too awful far from RickRacers, give them a try. The web address is in the links section..........

I have the 72-89 manual and it does not list it or even show. Bummer. I agree with JW, give a call to rick, he may be able to help.

Wouldn't you think that Mercury's parts catalog would show every part that is on/in the engine.The parts catalogs I am used to show each and every part associated with that machine/motor.

There are a couple of used motor/parts places close by so I will try them first then if no luck I will drop by Rickracers,I have been by there a couple of times for other things.

Thanks for the replies about the stator mounting bracket,as it turns out this part is in the catalogs but it is called block end cap.It doesn't appear in the stator/flywheel picture but its in the block section and I did find a used one for $55.00 instead of the $110.00 Mercury wanted.
