i would rather a closed bow i would consider both a outboard or a I/O.
my price ranf would be under $20 000 Can.

Lemire,If you are in southern Ontario, you might want to have a look at Blue Moon Marine.
When we were there last fall they still had a Starflite w/ a 200 Merc and they also had a sterndrive.They deal in used boats only so they do not have any corporate ties and they were good to deal with.
They are located on hwy.27 at Horseshoe Valley Rd.about 8 miles north of Barrie.

I know Mcgregor marine located just north of Orillia had a Starflite with a brand new motor for sale last year.

Rick's Marine also has a Checkmate for sale, you can see that one on their website. They are also a Checkmate dealer which doesn't hurt.

I have a 1986 Checkmate Ambassador 20', with a new motor - 290 hp roller cam mercury, only 10 hours on the motor. The interior was reupholstered 3 years ago and last year, I had the entire boat paint reworked - (wetsanded and polished) This boat is in immaculate condition.
