I NEED TO REMOUNT MY PASSENGER SEAT PEDESTAL TO THE FLOOR OF MY PULSARE. WHAT DO YOU GUYS RECCOMMEND. ON MY SPECTRA I DRILLED OUT THE HOLES AND DROPPED IN STAINLESS TOGGLE BOLTS INTO THE FLOOR AND REBOLTED THE PEDESTAL DOWN. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT REPAIR AND I AM CONSIDERING DOING THE SAME ON THE PULSARE.

Did this and the prop happen at the same time?
Must have been a wild ride! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/Eyecrazy.gif
I hope no one was hurt.

My boat had some toggle bolts holding the rear seat frame down. It will let water in unless you seal the heck out of it. Rotted the floor and stringers.
If the seat base is round you could epoxy the stripped holes then rotate the base slightly and refasten.
Or, cut a hole in the center with a hole saw and fish in some wood backing pieces. Glue and screw them to the under side. Put the center plug back in and glass over it. Then you can mount the pedastal thru the same holes. Remember to caulk the holes generously to keep the water OUT!
Good Luck.

HEY JGREEN, IT HAPPENED WITHIN A PERIOD OF 3 HOURS AND OTHER THAN SOME BIG BOAT WAKE JUMPS IT WAS RELATIVELY A SAFE DAY. THE BOAT WAKES AT TIMES MADE IT PRETTY SNOTTY ON THE INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY BUT IT ALSO LED TO SOME CHALLENGING DRIVING!! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/bounce.gif

This also happened to my starflite. Both seats,thought about togggles. But what I did was to clean the holes and plug them with a good hardwood plug. I soaked them in resin and poured a little in the holes. forced the plugs in let dry.drilled some pilot holes and used a good agressive screw exspanding the plugs yet more.Its been a couple of years and no problems. I'm 265 lbs and run the big water of the detroit river. I would swear their better than before.

Can you access the underside from the ski locker?
I think on my Pulse I can.
Perhaps you could put a small steel plate on the underside and just remount the seat?

JP;
Here is a way to repair it. I used them when a base tore loose in my Crestliner. They come in a set of two. I'm not sure about the bases That Checkmate uses, but the ones in my Crestliner had a hole in the floor about 2.5" in dia. in the center. You can install them through that hole. To hold them in place, I cut the head off a couple of bolts and threaded them into the plate. Then holding onto the studs I made, I lowered the seat base over them. Then you can start some of the other bolts to hold everything in place. Then remove the studs and install the rest of the bolts. (use sealant to keep the water out) The holes in the thick part of the plates are tapped already. If I would've cleaned out the spider nest from the holes you could see that. If you can access the area through the ski locker it will be real easy to install these. I did this a number of years ago on the Crestliner and never had it fail again.

I had this happen on my sea ray. I filled the old holes, rotated the base, drilled new holes and used the toggel bolts. I sealed the hole mess up when I locked it down. Never had a problem after that.
