I don't know Coop, but I do think it's appropriate that you made the first post in our new forum. I have a feelin' this forum will become Coop's "other" garage. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/thumb.gif

Finally, someone voted for the '66. I was getting ready to put that one up on ebay. Now maybe I will have to keep it. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/surf.gif

Definetly work on the 66, than you can bring that little screaming machine up to devils lake, and race one of my classics.
74 mx-16 with 82 merc 115, or my slow boat a 1960 lonestar flamingo with its 71 merc 800(with about 100 hours on it.(also about 500 pounds)

My wife can't go 20ft without seeing something that has to do with boats. I just put together a computer for her that has absolutely no boat pictures in it. She thinks its great that we have a dog now, so that when my screen saver is on, a dog picture show up once in a while. She looks out the kitchen window, there are boats in the back yard. I've got a barn I rent, that she has never seen. Full of boat stuff. If I buy her a new Checkmate, it better be hooked to a new Hummer cause thats the only way that deals gonna work. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/xxrotflmao.gif

Move the steering to the middle of the dash, rip out the floor and put only stringers up the middle, drill a bunch of big holes in those. Beef up the transom for a really big motor. Put one seat in the middle, and a fuel cell.....then put the biggest motor you can find on the back. Not really race legal, but I was gonna have a lot of fun with it.
very cool, with drillin all the holes in the stringer will it weaken it??

 I'll have to remember that one coop - my wife likes to say we need to spend more money on the boat like she needs another hole in her head..... it will make her stronger!!!!!
I also wonder if I resemble the remark early on about being "we todd did" lol.

I had to vote for build from scratch. I am interested in knowing how to do that because I would like to build a scale model of our Enforcer, but being to scale it would have to be a 1 seater. something like 3' wide, 9' long and about 2' tall with something like a 15-35 hp outboard with steering up front (not by tiller).
