Funny, looking at my list, the ONLY boat I bought NEW was my 15' CHECKMATE from "Sammy" at Action Marine in Dearborn Michigan...(the hull in '78, the 140 Merc in spring '79) Let someone else take the depreciation...smarter, but not as much fun as a NEW ORDERED ONE maybe? http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Hey guys! YES... I'm a boat ADICT!!! Keep in mind that I started at age 7 in dad's boat... by age 10 building my own 8' Hydro and 2 more the following years. So this list is spaning about 28ish years of FUN, FUN, FUN! Many of these boats I just bought them at the right time, played with them, TLC'd, and made a few bucks here and there.

Teaching is COOL, but has it's down falls as well (I.E. pay). If I didn't buy & sell my toy's, I wouldn't be having all this fun!!!

P.S.-JW, you don't even want to know how many cars & trucks I've had (100's)...

I have only had 6 boats with 5 of them being Checkmates.I have also had 2 jetski's,3 motorscooters,2 motorcycles and a total of 53 cars since 1959.Its probably not a record but I have had a lot of fun.I am looking at buying a new Chrysler Crossfire tomorrow going to trade my Ford Ranger 4X4 on it.Anyone heard anything bad about the Crossfire?

What do you mean by trailer damage? What happened? I've heard rollers damaging tin but not glass - do tell!

I didnt ask detials Chris,but heard it from THE MAN himself,Bill Combs.He said the roller trailer did the damage.I would think possibly severe hook or indentition caused from lack of support?I bet Kip knows.I have always heard roller trailers are undesirable.My uncle has a 1979 Tiara Pursuit in MINT condition.He is looking for a new bunk trailer as we speak.The easy loader is falling apart and he also heard from S2 yachts that rollers are not good enough in the support dept.By the way Thanks again for the CD!

Kurt... Try Nextrail trailers... ALL ALUMINUM bunk style... tow awesome, light, easy to adjust for whatever boat, and I can get you factory direct pricing for anything 16'-40'. I did a tandom axle one under my Warlock Offshore for under $2000 DELIVERED to my doorstep!!! Fit it PERFICTLY!!! AND was almost $2000 less than an Eagle custom steel one... Jim.

A new one for your 2005 pulse is about $1300ish? (or less)
