Has anyone used the paints put out by Pettit? I'm considering it because 1) It can be rolled on, and 2) They're not that expensive. I was originally considering using Imron, but it has to be professionally sprayed ($$$). Opinions?

Are you thinking of the one-part polyurathane, Easy-Poxy? I've used the Interlux Brightside...basically the same paint. It has a reasonably good finish but not really as durable as I had hoped for on surfaces the get walked on and scrubbed a lot. Also, if you are thinking dark or really bright colors I'd be comcerned about how quickly it starts to fade. I used off-white on the 2 center consoles I painted so fade isnt as easy to see.
There are some 2-part epoxy paints on the market that can be rolled and tipped such as Interlux Perfection and Sterling brand 2-parts. I'd probably go with one of those next time. But the 2-part paints can't be used on previously painted surfaces w/o first removing ALL the old paint. Hope that helps.

Well I'll be painting over the old gelcoat after giving it a good sanding, I'll put on a couple of coats of primer. I was basically concerned about the durability of the paints. I will probably go with a two part as you mentioned.
