Is there a safe/correct way to raise the back end of the boat in order to adjust the bunks and rollers? My rollers are not centered on the trailer.
Thanks!!

I found the merc lifting eye and a cherry picker work great. Also if you have a jackplate and a set of hooks and a cherry picker, that work great also. You could also attach to the mid where it bolts to the transom. Watch out for the cowl. Or just put the boat in the water and then adjust the bunks.

I do my adjustments on the launch ramp when it's quiet. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the help.
How about jacking from the bottom?
Would there be a safe place to do that from the bottom of the boat? (Center/Back properly supported) It would make it easier then to put the boat in/out of the water to check the adjustments.I would only have to raise it a few inches. I do not have a cherry picker but do have a floor jack.
Thanks!

If you only need to raise the back a few inches, you could lower the tongue down. And then put a couple of blocks under the back of the boat. Then you just raise the tongue up and the the back will sit on the blocks as the trailer drops down. Get the idea? It's the same technique you use when you want to pull a boat off the trailer. Just be careful!

I use jack stands and a floor jack. I lower down the tounge jack as far as it will go, this will raise the back of the boat up. Next I place a pair of jack stands under the back corners on the flat of the chine, I use a peice of 2x4 to distribute the weight better. Now I use the floor jack with a piece of wood on it(about 12" long)on the keel just forward of the windsheild between the trailer cross mambers. Now jack and the boat will come up off the trailer and you can make adjustmants.
Works for me.

If you have a tractor with a three point hitch, this system works great. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
