Hey Guys,
I have a Toyota Tacoma with 6 inches of lift and 33's. The brakes on it were never impressive, and with the 33's and 21ft I/O Enchanter, they are less than desireable. It has fresh disks and Performance Friction pads(work better with a lil heat in em). I want to add trailer brakes (disks). Who do you recomend for kits, and have any of you done this before. Do you know if they come with everything, down to the bearings, becuase I was planning on doing the bearing on my trailer, but I wonit if they come with brake kit. TIA

I don't know for sure where to get discs for the trailer- I do know NORTHERN sells a kit i would not recommend because it uses a stainless steel rotor,(stainless is a poor material for the rotor because of heat dissipation, however with the added rolling mass of the 33" tires i would recommend an upgrade on the brakes for the truck at least- for that your cheapest would probably be Stainless Steel Brakes Corp. Baer- Wilwood are other possibilities, you can check summit racing for a kit for your truck and call Stainless Steel Brakes directly and see if they have anything for your trailer--(kits are cheaper thru summit than direct from SSBC) SSBC 716-759-8666 I think is the phone number.. Hope this helps.
