The pictures have to be posted on the web somewhere and then linked here, There are a few places on the net that are free.

The boat runs very solid, rides good in the chop, with lots of trim it comes right up on the running pad, with manageable walk. 225Merc Optimax, std Tempest 26 pitch prop runs 83mph on Merc speedo, 75mph on GPS. Has anyone tried a Lighting ET prop on a 2100 or 1850; dont know what speed impact it would make?

Great looking boat more or less looks like my Pulse 186 but a foot longer http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I have the 200 Opti on mine and love it. I also love the look of a closed deck so much better http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

To Chris E. Yes the New Ark Marina is the dealer. They are new to carrying Checkmate. Their sales manager is excellent and very multi-skilled (Mike Reid). He rigged the boat with me...extremely meticulous on detail and care. I will skip the ride trade, but happy to take you for a ride, just let me know how to connect (michael.c.hart@ca.ibm.com).

To jmahler, the pop up bow cleat and light is cool...improvement for Kip would be a remote control for light pop-up (its obviously a pain to reach when the sun sets).

I've got a new 20ft longdeck coming in my first boat order. It's getting built now. It has the new Checkmate flames in blue with big silver flake outlines.

It's a small world I tell ya.

I just found out Muskoka007 is none other than my old neighbour Michael. We both lived in the same townhouse complex for about 15 years a few houses apart.

Congrats on the new boat Michael, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for a long time to come. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You boat looks very nice! Just curious, but why did you decide to order the 2000 Pulsare over the 2100?

I just got my first load of new Checkmates testerday. I got a 20ft "longdeck" with blue flames and silver flake shadowing. Man, it's an awesome looking boat. I'm rigging it with a 225X motor. What's your best speed so far?

on page 1 he says he hits 75 on gps with 26p tempest.

I saw that. I just wondered if he got more since the motors broken in now. I'm going to put a 300x on this first, just to see what it can do. Hope I don't die.

I too have the Pulse 186 Chris and love it. I am powered w/175 and can only imagine the difference in yours. This new closed deck looks great. I do like it better because of no railing, and what appears to be a flush light??? The picture with the young man at the helm took my breath away in shock. He is so liking to my son in whose memory I bought mine for. I`m here at work and showed a coworker, as well as my nephew and we were all taken back. What a beautiful craft. I may have to visit the new dealer, Ocean Outboared, around the block from my house to see when they become available.

Re the question on the 2000 choice over the 2100: New 2000 is lighter and deeper. Gas tank is at the stern, new larger floor locker, dash board from 2400 (with raised guages look sweet), modified stern has a more modern look.

Speed could be a little higher now the engine is broken in, Merc speedo wraps back to 0 (85mph ish), need a gps next season to clock speed. I tested 4 other Merc props vs the Tempest 26p and they gave better low end speed, control for turning but lose about 5mph top speed....hence keeping the Tempest.

Did you try a Trophy prop?
