Hey Kip... Nice job on the interior rework! Much more human than the "all pink" thing. http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif
Man, looks great...very tempting!!! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/bounce.gif Jim
You know what Jim? My buddy has a Starflight with a 3.0 225 and we raced my 2100BR with 225 Promax and here was the results:
I was much quicker out of the hole because I could spin a small pitch prop several hundred rpms higher, but he was faster on top end! No matter what prop I tried, I couldn't pull him on top end. I personally think the Starflight bottom is a little faster than the Pulsare 2100 bottom because of the step and the built in setback....................

Kip:
I looked at that boat in Fargo, ND. Before it was sold to fnshrmaster, it has come a long ways since then, I would be interested again if you would be interested in a trade.
1994 pulse 185, 175 efi mariner, 5 1/2 inch manual jackplate, shorelander roller trailer, cmfargo and jkeiper on this board have seen the boat and can vouch for its condition.
Let me know what you think. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

JW... I have always loved the starflight closed deck design!!! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/surf.gif
Hey Kip... how much more to saw a hole in the front for the kids??? (just kidding)http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/brickwall.gif
Also Kip...how is the carpet/floor condition???
Someone I should grab this one up before I add a 4th boat to the fleet!
$8K is a deal... http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/bounce.gif
With a new interior and the options this boat has, $8k is a steal!
I agree, sharp looking boat. If it was an open bow I might be adding another Checkmate to my stable.

Jim,carpet and floor are solid and look great!Buy it!You got the green, its a good deal, heck I paid 500 more for it when I bought it in N.Dakota.You just dont find a mint Checmate 21 footer at that price range too often, plus the XRi runs like a swiss watch, never a problem for me,just add gas and oil and go have fun!Somebody should get the money together fast,Im considering it for myself! My wife would divorce me,but it sure would be nice to have matching boats! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

How does the boat look Jim?The deck fade looks gone in the pics, nice and shiney.I left a nice alpine amp in the boat but you have to supply the sub,I kept that. One 10 inch Dual voice coil sounds nice under the bow.I have a 19 Vengence for it if you are interested, works sweet for skiing and tubing, that 25 tempest wont do it.Let us see some pics in the driveway!Glad its gonna be a michigan boat, maybe we will cross paths on the lake sometime, that would be a cool picture being the same color scheme and all.Take care and congrats!

Merc245...
I usually use Cass lake or Orchard lake around home... most of the other time is up to the thumb area...however...I thinking some travel time and new spots are in order...where do you usually hang???
P.S. The '92 2.5L 200XRi will be getting my "magic touch"...a 4 hole CLE lower, mild build (245+HP) come spring (if a 300PM or 280 doesn't come along first)! What speeds are you getting with what motor/lower unit/prop???

If I don't put in on the river at trenton. I usally head west to bruin/halfmoon or whamlers/vinyard lakes. The family did alot of camping in that area. I do alot traveling in oakland county for the appraisal business. I often thought about going that way for a change.
When everthing was new and crisp. I would run 73/74 not gps #s. thats with cle and 21p lazor II at 7300/7400 rpms. I used that setup for watersking most the time.I have cmc jack and cmc 10in setback.when I installed the setback it didn't help the topend much but the leverage allowed me to carry 3 people near 70ish.
