Dear Y'all,

Yesterday we reached a board milestone as we had our 200th member join the community. It's hard to believe our community has even grown to the level of 200 members. But indeed it has, and so quickly too! So I thought I would take the opportunity to say a few words......

So here it goes.....

To JW and Gus....

Thanks for all your efforts that go on behind the scenes, (usually unnoticed I may add) and for always being there when the chips are down and cheering me up! You guys are, and will always be the "Super Mods"!

Rick....

Thanks for answering all of the non-stop, technical questions in the Ask the Experts forum. And for plugging the site just about everywhere you go! I hope you have a truly excellent year sellin' those Mates!

Kip....

Thanks to you and your family, for creating awesome boats for 40 Years! They are what inspire all of us fanatics to come here on a regular basis, and act like a bunch of little kids in a candy store. And a personal thanks, for "silently" supporting the place in a number of ways. Especially for continuing to respond to my daily email requests for archived pics of one thing or another. Thankfully, you haven't hit the block sender button yet! Oh damn, perhaps you didn't know there was one...

To all the members...

Thanks for coming to the place and sharing. You are what has made the board what it is today. Let's face it, if you didn't come here on a regular basis the board would be useless. Many of you often send thank you emails to me for running the board. And thank you for them! But really, the truth is, without you, the board would be long gone. When I come home after a long day at work and the online now box is full of names of people and all the light bulbs are lit up with new posts in almost every forum......that is the biggest thanks you can give me. So.....really.....thanks to all of you!

In closing....

I hope everyone has a really safe and enjoyable boating season. I hope everyone plays safe and stays safe. I'm really looking forward to sitting up at the cottage table and checking out all the great Checkmate Pics from all over the world. It's hard to believe that it was only late last September that I decided to put together our little EZ Board so a few people who were exchanging email pics of Checkmates could have a place to post a few messages.

And finally....

I would be remiss if during a war time like this, I didn't send out a thanks to all of the troops from around the world fighting for our freedom. I know right now many of our governments from around the world are in disagreement on what the best approach to protecting that freedom is, so I think it's really important for the common people of the world to come together, regardless of whether our political leaders are getting along or not, and celebrate the great things in life that all share! We must remember, that which unites all of us, far outweighs that which divides us, something I think some of our politicians often forget.

See you out on the board!

Chris

Z, everyone who signs up has to have a valid email address that they verify at the time they join. They don't however, have to display it to the public and many people choose not to.

How do you not show it though? Can't you just join, verify, and then delete it from your profile? Maybe an idea of mine.. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

There is an email you use for registration purposes. You don't however, have to display an email address to the public. Check your preferences and profile. If someone changes their email address they will automatically have to reverify their new one or their membership will be suspended until they provide a valid one.

Dude, you have completely spammed my nice thread, so I'm making a copy and sending it over to board feedback.

Now, what the hell are you babbaling about? Yes, the moderators and myself know everyone's email address they used for registration purposes. We need to know for administration purposes. So yes we would therefore know Zeus' email address. I wasn't aware that us knowing it was a big secret. I gather you are trying to figure it out and he hasn't revealed it to you. Because he has decided for whatever reason not to reveal it to you, doesn't mean because we know it that we are. The bottom line is, if he wants to tell you he will. We take our members privacy seriously and that's what this issue is, an issue of privacy. It seems to me that you get upset when he starts posting messages directed at you, but then when he stops, you're almost equally upset about that, make up your mind man.

Personally I wish you would just let it go bro, the whole battle is really boring.

My idea, after you check this, is to delete ever post in here except for the 1st one.

Its somewhat hard not to say something back when some ------ comes on and all he does is direct his messages towards me. I don't think hes heard of private topics as I have started 2 already. I wasn't asking for his e-mail, and yes privacy should be a #1 priority. I appreciate your time. Why not delete these all now, it would be better for all of us.
