This is my 1996 242 convincor.454 Mag stock with corsca exhaust. It will run high 60's.I've had it for awhile, but need more time to play with it to get a little more speed out of it.I was really attracted to the boat because it was black. No one else that i know has a black boat.It is very uncommon to see one.I wish i could have sent better pics but that is all i had at this time.I will probably be getting rid of it soon to make a step up to the 300 convincor. We'll see how the finances go.Let me know what ya think.

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gifWow!... That is an awesome boat. Ever since becoming a member of Checkmate-Boats (http://www.checkmate-boats.com), I have seen some really sweet boats, so in which I wwould like to buy. I agree with Rick that Checkmate does make awesome black boats. Black and Red are one of the best colours I have ever seen on a boat and because of this, I plan to try and get these colours. Any Checkmate would look good in black! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Checkmate uses some of the best materials/gels made! Bill told me that it's getting expensive to build the boats, but look at the finish... thats pretty much an exact quote.. he's right, ever look down a side of a boat in light, any boat thats chopped is usually very wavy, a check is smooth, colors "vibrant"... A very awesome product! in todays world of mass marketing, a very rare product! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Absolutly http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif I do think that Checkmate makes one of the best stock paint jobs out there. They will always stand out when you see them by the shore, out on the water, or up on a trailer. THANK YOU CHECKMATE FOR SUCH GREAT BOATS! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'll be dreamn' right along with you, a 180mph Skater would be an awesome ride. Have you ever driven a big cat? Great wide open, but if you like to cruise once and a while, not much fun, some hulls can be a handfull to drive with out enough air packed under them. Thay are not very practicle for everyday boating although you can't beat the speed in a cat! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gifI havn't had the chance to drive such a boat like itself. The fastest boat I have ever driven was 90+ Hydrostream. There are no dealers near me that have any good boat. Its sad when the closest dealer is Baja. I might just have to go down to Douglas Marine and check them out... I agree, they arn't really to practical but they are SCARY FAST... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif http://www.checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/sick.gif

I'm not sure. JW should be able to help you... Just in case you didn't know, the place is Douglas Marine and the URL is http://www.skaterpowerboats.com and I looked for an address but I couldn't find any. I live in Ottawa, Canada so I don't know much about down there...
