Hi
I have a 1980 Inticer with a Mercury XR 2 150 hp motor it use to have a 115 inline. Iam going to replace the old steering, a single cable rack. What should i put back on a single or dual cable system?

You have to get a dual setup.
They're much safer.

Chris said it! Don't even consider a single. Besides being safer, you'll like the way it handles. Make sure you adjust all the slack out.

Jim
You have to go dual just for saftey if not for better handling.
I had a single cable break on a demo ride on and 16 foot Charger with an XR2 on it almost flipped the boat. My buddy slammed into the salesman and broke some of the saleman's ribs we were lucky that was all that happened.

They are good people, and they give our members and members of Scream and Fly a discount. I don't know price wise if they're the cheapest out there, but Rick is competitive and he looks after his customers. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
There is a link to their website on our links page.

Dual cable is a must, but if you can i would go with a hydraulic system.
