I'll try to keep my spelling good!
I was a guest here for a few weeks, and signed up just a few day ago when the site didn't let me in for some reason. Anyway, so far I like being a "member"! It lookes like a couple of people that caused truoble got booted. Good! I'm here to enjoy and to help in any way I can. Good riddance to the problems.
Looks like most people are here to help, or get help. One person though is posting here just to post nothing! I'm not naming names, but you know who you are. Just look at all the posts you make that mean nothing! Why post so much? Must be ate up or something?
I am the one who knows all!

Welcome Zeus! Glad you signed up, like I said before in another post. The two that got booted, well that's another story and that happens about any message board you go to. Once in a while people don't play nice.
As far as your other comment, yes there are quite a few Checkmate Fanatics or Addicts or Junkies or whatever you want to call us. We are ALL ate up brother! We'll get you into another boat soon, trust me http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Feel free to add any info you have into the Ask the Experts forum. Your previous experience should be able to help......

They made a few changes here. You can't visit the site without being logged in... But why do I still see guests though Chris? I wouldn't say that they caused problems, but something else... Post nothing? Would you mind sending me a private topic or something, I have a good idea, but I'd like to see what you think... I hope you don't mean me as I do post stuff worth posting, not just nothing... It's good to have you here. We have someone we can get good info from as the other 2 are gone... Jim, I wouldn't say they got booted, they just asked to get off the list. They both just got really frustrated and wouldn't take it like men. I don't care much, so I just got over it and stayed. Who cares anymore... This is a place where we can all let loose about Checkmate, as long as it's good coments, right Chris? LOL... Anyways, anything you want answered, just post it and I'm sure you'll get some help, mostly by Chris, JW, Gus (175Checkmate) and Myself as we are on the most and we check the posts the most... The only difference is that the other 3 are moderators and I am a heavy member... I am on the list to become one... Hey JW, you could help me get in a boat, let me buy yours, LOL... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

So sometimes when traffic is busy and it says 10+ guests, that means they are all at the log in screen? Ouch...

Ok... You are starting to make me suspiscious. You seem like CMG. Just another brief question. Do you think I am the one who posts sh!t? Also, check your private topics, in the My Space button at the top... Also, just how many times have you been to the Checkmate factory? I am just wondering because I might visit. How much has it changed...

Let me just say this, there is and never was a problem amongst myself, Rick, or Kip, just a little confusion that some phone calls took care of. A down side of e-mail or forums is that the recipiant can't always judge the tone things were meant to be judged nor can they be portrayed the proper way either. As far as I am concerned, the topic should be dead and because not everyone knows the whole situation or read all the post, judgement should be left to yourself about other people. Unfortunately, because of what my wife and I have been through, I am taking things a little more to heart than I should be. I am working on that. Anyway...
Steph is doing great, I took her for the first of many follow-up visits yeterday, and all was well. The moring the annurism burst, her right eye was "dead", yesterday, there were signs of the eye reacting to light. They are still saying about 6 months befor vision is back in that eye. In a couple of weeks, she will go back to the surgeon who did the surgery and the same day see some kind of rare eye specialist for futher observation. All that is great news for us, but still no good words from the insurance company, I had to contact my attourney today, to give yopu an idea how that goes. It seems tha hospital bills will be more of a fight than the recovery!
Steph and I really appreciatew the kind words.
Thank you and sorry if I offended anyone! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Good to hear... It is dead. Chris closed it so nobody can post. As far as I am concerned, it was between who posted there, so everyone stop saying stuff about it because none of you understand it fully. It would be fully appreciated by all of us. Boat is going great, Kip and I talked today so I could give final stuff on interior, options, ect. It is up to C-mate to when they will start, Rick and I just had to give a date to when we need it. C-mate knows what they are doing, they won't let me down. I can't wait to see some pics when she is started. I have learned that to be as thorough as Rick and Kip are, things take time and patience is a virtue!
Good to hear. I think I recall he using it in a show? Also, what other stuff can you tell me about the boat, besides the exterior colours? I am interested in hearing about it. Sounds good. Patience is a must when dealing with stuff like that...

Well, I am going to sound like a proud daddy, but, I like purple and black, so those will be main colors with the silver metal flake mixed in (thanks Kip) Checkered flag interior done in white purple and black,,purple bezels for the guages, cleats and bow light, light grey carpet, gaffrig gauges, trim tabs and indicators, Gaffrig depth finder, purple cockpit cover, I have a drive shower I am going to put on, still trying to design a stereo, Kip is going to find a purple steering wheel and purple steering wheel hub. The trailer will start out as purple, but when I get it home, I will add some back and white and clear to it with a small amount of metalflake added to it. Fortunately I found a dealer (Rick) with some patience and Kip (alot of patience) to work with me. We have been all over the place in figuring out something that will be a classic Checkmate and yet be a little different. I hope we suceeded.
By the looks of it, you like purple. I can't disagree because I'd say it will look beautiful. You seemed to have got lots available options with it. I wish I could get a boat like that. Maybe I can get a custom Pulsare or something... How does it sound? Flames would look good. Oh yeah... http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Actually, there is alot of white, so I am getting the purple accents to offset the white and brighten up the black. All of the bezels are thin and give just enough color to break things up. I like the "west coast customs" look, that is why the anodized stuff. I like the flames, I got two polished aluminum fire extinguishers with flames on them http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Thr pulsare is an awesome boat, that is what I would have bought if I didn't plan on spending so much time in rough water.
I though maybe Stephanie got over you to get purple... LOL http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif What made you want to get the ZT-240 in the first place anyways? Maybe if I get JW's Pulsare, I'd add some custom flames here and there... What ya think???

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gifCheckmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
It was small enough to tow on trips, it has a 24 degree deadrise to handle rough water, for a 24 foot boat, it is relatively, low profile and I just like the line a little more than the Convincers. Also, the ZT260 would not fit in my garage. I really like the ZT 220, but it only has a 20 degree deadrise, does not have a cuddy that you can close the door on, no porta potti, no stand up bolsters ect... The 220 is more of a lake boat and the 240 is built to tame the bigger waters a little more. Steph and I camp on the beach alot too and the porta potti and cuddy door really makes a difference. When it comes down to it, I think it is a great looking, small offshore boat that offers everything I need until I move up to the 33 footer when I build my next house. Unfortunately, that is a few years away. At least I found a good dealer to take care of me when I need the next Mate!
33 footer? What boat are you interested after the ZT? Just a fun question, are you loaded? I wish I could have all the things you have. I can't complain though, my house is big enough, nice cars, nice cottage. How is the space in the bow? I havn't seen them up close or inside... Have you seen Wildman's boat?

http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gifCheckmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
When you plan your life right, things just work out, and like I said, that is a few years down the road. The cuddy is not the most spacious, but plenty of room to sleep or get out of the weather. I am only 5'6" so, I do not need too much room. Of course the ZT 330 is if they still make it when I am ready for it, who knows what Mate will be making then. Also, I can have toys, because I do not and will not have kids. Lots of money saved! If you keep a boat long enough to get equity, but not too long to where it looses too much value, you can normally trade up and keep paymants about the same. Interest is down now, my trade was paid for and I have been saving for a while for this so... being smart is the key.

I hear ya.... You have to work towards what you want. Thats what I did but with a few kids that is where I lose some money, but I still have the toys... So you're you have a large enough house with all these big trucks and no kids? Why not get a sports car over a Envoy? My wife is starting to like those now! Smart always wins...

Thank you Gus, we honestly appreciate it!
Z, the wife did not want one, I told her I would get her any car she wnated, and she chose the Envoy, Not my first choice, but I don't drive it. Also, the house now is perfect size, garage is always too small!
At least she has good tastes. I'll take any GM truck thrown at me. I'll never have a Ford anything, but maybe a Dodge or something, but GM is always first. I'd drive either 2 as they are both good. At least your not in my situation, I got a van and I rarely drive it as I hate it. I like my Avalanche! Why don't you buy/build your own garage somewhere... Be like your own shop??? I'd do it...

Easy on the ford comment Z(ha ha). I'm glad to know everything has gone back to normal around here.I'm trying to get out of work on the 2nd of aug for the (Thunder on the Bay)(bill)checkmate event, But commanding a military police co in the mist of war about to break out may have priority to my higher ups. we need to wrote the president and see if he would use checkmates for gun boats.Maybe a 50 cal mounted on the front and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher out the back, with me commanding the fleet of course. hmm . maybe i'll talk to ol george and see what he thinks.
