I was wondering if there are any organized Checkmate Events in Michigan or Ontario? It seems like there are a lot of members on this forum from this area. If there currently isn't anything going on, I'd be willing to help get the ball rolling on something if the interest is there. Thanks, Chris

Hey Blaster, where do you all boat in the GR area? Do you hit the big lake, or smaller inland lakes?

I've got to admit I'm a bit spoiled, but I hardly ever boat any where else besides right here in the Les Cheneaux Islands. There are plenty of channels and bays to play in among the 36 Islands, and very little hassle from law enforcement. And, the scenery is beautiful, too. If anybody wants to take a road trip north, I'd be happy to show you around. We could even blast over to Mackinac Island, weather permitting.
