Just wandering, what type of gas mileage do you other guys get out of your boats. I have found that the ten percent rule, 10 percent of the horse power stated on a outboard is how much you use at wot, as a example my merc 115 sould use 11 1/2 gallons a hour at wot. do you guys agree.

Also where is my 82 merc rated at the prop or the crankshaft, because the other day I caught up with a guy in a new starcraft aluminum with a new fourstoke 115 merc on it, and left him sitting. My guess is that it is a difference of set up and hydro dynamics.

Your motor should still be rated at the crank. And a 115 4-stroke is no match for a 115 2-stroke under any circumstances, atleast not at this time anyways.

at wot i get about a mile per gal. maybe less.

i dont get much better running at 4k either. i only have a 16 galon tank. if i go out on the river i usualy take a 6 galon can with me.

i can only run the tank to 1/2 empty before i have to refill. when the fuel sloshes around it will suck air. i plan on installing a surge tank this year.

I like the pic of your predictor Illmatic. I was hoping to get some more pics of my mx yet this year, but doubt it will happen 45 degrees at about 50 is too cold.
