I was in contact with Dave from Fargo Checkmate this morning. He said that C-Hawk closed its shop yesterday. Too bad…they made a great trailer.

Well that sucks.

The owners of C-Hawk are great people.

That's tough to take. They are great folks.

When I bought my Enforcer and CHawk, I needed the trailer weight to register it. I called and they took the time to look up 1990 records and not only gave me the info, but sent a letter on their letterhead so the State would accept it without having the trailer weighed.

My trailer is 15 years old and looks new! Great support bunks that are curved to the hull shape. Their work will be sorely missed! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

WOW! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif That really SUCKS! http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/zx11pissed.gif I really like the way the C-Hawk is made for the specific Checkmate and fits the boat like a glove. They will be missed. http://checkmate-boats.com/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

I guess Otie was just tried of messin with it.....employee deal or lack their of more than anything. We have already struck a deal with Eagle Trailers......to supply us and our dealers trailers if needed. Built basically the same and they have patterns for most of our models already and will get the rest patterned asap. They also offer galvanized & aluminim trailers.

The standard Eagle Trailer is the "E-series". They are constructed of tubular steel (side rails, crossmembers, bunk posts, etc.). They are custom built to a specific boat model and color matched to the manufacturer's colors. They are available in braking and non-braking models (depending on carrying capacity). Brake models include a surge-brake actuator and disc brakes. The wiring harness and brake lines are enclosed in the siderails for extra protection. The standard models have chrome directional rims, but aluminum rims are available as an option. There are many other options available - spare tires, spare tire mounts, swing tongues, electric/hydraulic brake systems, electric jacks, electric winches, LED lights, backup lights, launch lights, extended steps, etc. The "G-series" is of similar construction but the frame is hot-dipped galvanized, the rims are galvanized and the disc brakes approved for salt-water use.

I just picked up my c-hawk trailer in September. Put the boat on there and it fit like a glove. They were great people to deal with. Glad I was able to put one under my boat before they closed.

I'm going to close this thread up since C-Hawk is back up and running.

Having this thread going will just cause confusion.

Welcome back C-Hawk. :thumb:
