What is different between these boats?
Is it the same hull?
Only significant difference I can tell from the website is a 300lb weight advantage of the Pulsare.

Are they both pad-v's?

What kind of speed is expected from a Pulsare with a 225 or 250 efi 3.0L Mercury?

What is the preferred setup for a Pulsare...lots of setback? Which prop? How high on the transom?

Thanks for any info.

I have a 2100, have only seen pictures of Pulses. The transoms are different, Pulsare is rated at 50 more hp. I don't know if the hull bottoms are different in the chines or pads, the pulse does have a pad from what I read here.

Most of the guys here seem to prefer 10-12" of setback on a Pulsare, i have a 10" hydraulic jackplate. You want the jackplate to alter the prop height. Pulsares behave differently with the prop at different depths, tow - deeper, cruise - middling, speed - tucked up to the hull.

I have 225 EFI merc that I'm breaking in now but I've been told I'll see 75 when she's running full out.

Others here will be much better informed on props, there are a lot of (expensive) options in the world of props. I run a 25 tempest.

The hull is different between the pulse and pulsare, the deck is rockered on the pulsare and is not on the pulse. If you look at the transom the differences will be easy to see, Im sure some of the pulsare guys out there can get much more specific on the hull differences.

Basic rule of thumb:

Pulse is deeper, better in slightly rougher water.
Pulsare is shallower, better for top speed with same horsepower.

I have driven both a Pulsare and a Pulse (I own a Pulse 185)......if you are looking for pure performance and you have a need for speed, go for a Pulsare....even though my 185 is smaller than the Pulse 2100 it is still heavier and won't run nearly as fast....if you are looking for good performance, a very nice but maybe not overly exciting top speed, but a boat that is also good in choppy water, go for a Pulse....personally, I love my Pulse but I would like to be able to put a 225 on her and get up to the speeds of a Pulsare 2100....but I can't for insurance purposes.....to me, nothing beats a Pulsare 2100 with a 250 3.0 liter or higher....just my .02

They're both listed as having the same deadrise, and nearly the same length and width.

What is different about the bottom? Anyone have pictures of the bottom of each? Is there a difference in the width of the pad?

The biggest difference you didn't mention, and that's the 'freeboard'. The Pulse 211 has higher sides than the Pulsare 2100. That's why it's heavier. The bottom differences aren't really very noticeable. Mostly in the turned-down lifting strakes on the 2100.
