Another newbie question, I have seen post where CHawk trailers are the recommended trailer for the Checkmates, and that is what mine came with; however, it is in terrible shape and needs several replacement parts. Can someone give me the contact info for CHawk trailers. TIA, Johnny

Yes. I just had them custom build me a trailer for my Pulse 185. They are great to deal with. C-Hawk by: Lux Corp., PO Box 866 Bucyrus, OH 44820 (419) 562-7978

Bowtie,
What makes C-Hawk trailers kewl is that they make model specific trailers for Checkmates. They're located in the same city as the Mate factory, so you're assured of getting a trailer that fits your specific boat model.
I would give C-Hawk a call. They might even be willing to fix up your existing trailer. http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

A little far to get it to them for repair, but would like to find out some things about the trailer and perhaps get some replacement parts. I have searched the web for them and even found an old link on this site for them, but have not been able to get to their site. Perhaps they just decided to quit maintaining a website??? Anyway, I will most likely be giving them a call later today. Thanks again.

I just had a new Pulsare 2100 BR delivered with of course a C Hawk. I requested Otis customize it by shortening the tongue and lifting the bow so that the boat would slide off easier on flat boat ramps. He did a beautiful job....prettiest and best made trailer Ive ever had. Those folks are fantastic to deal with.

bowtie,
There was some issue with their ISP and their site. I don't remember the details exactly, but nothing that C-Hawk did wrong. It was something stupid like their files got lost and couldn't be recovered and they haven't put a new one back up yet. But I don't remember exactly to be honest.

I stopped in to see the place when I was out there. Otis is a great person to talk to. I'm sure he will help you any way he can. When I was there he mounted up a spare tire on a matching rim for me and he didn't have a red mounting bracket but, said he would send me one. I wasn't home a week and it was there.
