How is that prop for lift. What do you think about it on a '77 Convincer (Between a Trimate IIII and an Entertainer) with 400+ HP

what length is the boat , and how much does it weigh. Yhe lift is spectacular, i was very suprised acually. I have another one just like it. Thats why it is for sale. If you want it i will try to get the price down a little. Give me the info about the boat and lets see if it will work for ya. Also what prop are you running now @what speed and rpm?

The Convincer is 19'8" It weighs about 2700-2800 LB. The hull is the same as a TriMate IV.. Kip says they made the boat for 2 years by adding a foot the the TriMate mold. If you look in THE SHOWROOM,it looks just like the '80 Entertainer except that's 20'1".
The motor is a Chevy 400 making somewhere in the neighborhood of 425HP. The drive is an Alpha. I have a 23 Merc Cleaver on it now. The boat has a good hole shot and on a good day can top out at about 80 with the motor turning 5400. Most days it will turn 4800 running 70-72.
I need to replace the prop or have about 1" welded to one of the blades. The last time out I hit the stop at the end of the ramp. Concreet and boat props don't mix well!!!

Is the clever a 4 or a 3 blade? This hydro is a lot of prop to turn, but you shouldn't have any problems with 425 hp in a 2800lb boat.if it is a 3 blade you will loose about 400rpm but it will lift the whole ass of the boat out of the water. with this hydro you wont even have a plain time, if you put it on and hammer it you better hold on tight cause its gonna come out of the whole like a shot from a gun. Go to mercury racing .com and put your info in the prop calculator it will get you pretty close to what you can expect. let me know and we will work somthing out...
