Trim gauge

Does anyone know how to tell if the trim gauge is working properly? Mine does not work and I replaced the switch on the out drive. This did not make any difference. Any suggestions?

did you adjust the sender (one that will either have TS or trim sender stamped into the shell)?
If that doesn't work, try shorting the gauge to see if it moves - chances are the gauge is fine, check your wires and adjust the sender
